At the School for Social Entrepreneurs India,

We understand that social entrepreneurs learn best by doing. Our Social Start-Up Fellowship Programme offers you nine months of essential support, focusing on action over theory. We'll help you launch and lead a social enterprise, charity, or business that addresses critical social or environmental challenges in your community.

WHAT IS THE SOCIAL START-UP FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME?

Start up support for people looking to get a new idea off the ground, develop and sustain with study sessions, action learning, mentoring. This is the flagship programme of SSE India, a 9 month long programme with 24-30 contact days. 150+ fellows (start up and scale up social entrepreneurs) over 7 years have participated in this programme with footprints in 20 states across the country.

Become part of a diverse community of aspiring social entrepreneurs, all with unique projects spanning various sectors and states across India.

Our dynamic, interactive, and inspirational program is designed to equip you with practical skills and knowledge.

This program’s in-person 'learning blocks' is held over 3-4 days each month from April to December. These immersive sessions take place in Delhi NCR.

Develop the skills needed to make a real impact, including :​

  • Fostering a social entrepreneurial mindset

  • Mastering business skills

  • Measuring and communicating

       your social impact

  • Testing and selling products/ services, and

  • Building resilience through learning from failure.

apply?

  1. Eligibility: Our program is open to individuals from all backgrounds, ages, and locations within India.

  2. Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old to participate in the program.

  3. Passion for Change: We seek individuals who are passionate about creating positive social or environmental change.

  4. Innovative Ideas: Applicants should have innovative ideas that have the potential to address pressing social or environmental challenges.

  5. Drive and Commitment: We look for individuals who are driven and committed to turning their ideas into impactful social enterprises.

What are the costs?

Thanks to our partners, successful applicants pay no tuition or accommodation costs.

However, participants are responsible for their own travel expenses to attend the monthly learning blocks in Delhi NCR.

What is the application process?

  • Submit Your Application: Email your completed application to hello@the-sseindia.org.

  • Interviews: If selected, you'll have a telephone interview followed by an in-person interview to discuss your project and the impact you aspire to create.
