Shalabh Mittal

CEO, School for Social Entrepreneurs India

He is the founding CEO of School for Social Entrepreneurs India. Alumnus – Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Indian Law Institute and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India.

He has over two decades of multi-sectoral experience in health, livelihoods, water, sanitation and social entrepreneurship. He has led the first state-based water & sanitation network in Gujarat between 2003-2005 advocating for community-based water supply systems. He served as the South Asia Regional Coordinator of the Gender & Water Alliance (GWA) based in Netherlands. He has facilitated social start-up among women affected by HIV/AIDS. Since 2007, he has been engaged with promotion of social entrepreneurship.

He has been part of several studies & projects for various international development organizations, such as World Bank & FAO at the UN (UNDP, Unicef, Aga Khan Foundation, Volkart Foundation, Veolia Foundation, The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, Peacetech Lab, European Union, Hivos). He has addressed national and international audience (UAE, Pakistan, Senegal, UK, Nepal, Argentina, Uzbekistan), been part of numerous panel discussions on policy level discussions and ideas around ‘Social Change & Entrepreneurship’. He has experience of working with central & state governments (Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Delhi, Assam, Odisha, Chhattisgarh) and advising on several projects.

He worked with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India and was heading the Institute’s Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & CSR. He is the founding Member of Aashray – Promotion of Social Enterprises Foundation, a Government of India approved Techno-Social Business Incubator.

He – loves to cook and treat guests at home, is a blogger and spends time writing on variety of subjects related to social entrepreneurs, enjoys solitude and lone time with digital detox. He enjoys conversation with social entrepreneurs and works with them on their idea in his own coaching & mentoring style offering honest feedback. He has been trained by senior experts in life coaching skills. He has been deeply inspired by the life & philosophy of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and Mahatma Gandhi.

Ms. Vasundhara Singh

Programme Officer – Administration and Communications, School For Social Entrepreneurs India

 Vasundhara is the Programme Officer – Administration and Communications at School for Social Entrepreneurs India. She is a highly motivated person who eagerly wants to bring solutions to social problems and create social impact. She is dedicated to contribute to the development sector and entrepreneurship ecosystem. She has done her Master’s in Business Administration (Marketing and HR), along with Diploma courses in Broadcast and Journalism.

She has experience with two well-known incubation centres; CIIE.CO IIM-Ahmedabad and AIC-Banasthali. She is a freelance photographer. She loves graphic designing and reading books.

Mohit Arora

Head-Programme & Partnership, School For Social Entrepreneurs India

 Mohit is the head of Programme & Partnerships at School For Social Entrepreneurs India, and leads the flagship Social Start-Up Fellowship along with many other short-term & long-term programmes. He also looks at developing new relationships & partnerships for SSE, along with garnering support for the social entrepreneurs, outside the ecosystem. He is passionate about how learning opportunities designed for people can be used to create social change. He has also consulted with TRIF, NRLM, BMGF, PwC India on themes such as innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, etc. He returned to SSE India after being the founding team member in 2015. He has also been a Fellow with Teach for India (TFI), and worked on staff managing recruitment & matriculation of hundreds of Fellows each year, along with running operations for the summer institute. Prior to TFI, he worked with EY for hedge fund auditing, and project management for internal & external clients.

Mohit has a Master’s in Power, Participation and Social Change from Institute of Development Studies (IDS) UK. He also has a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from I.P University, New Delhi, India. He loves to listen to podcasts, go for long walks, and commute to work on his cycle. He calls Delhi home, however, has lived across India, and USA & UK during his professional engagement.
